What is a Cold Box Core Shooter? A cold box core shooter (also called cold box core making machine) forms sand cores at room temperature by shooting resin-bonded sand into a mold, then curing rapidly with amine (TEA/DMA) gas catalyst. Unlike hot box/shell processes, it needs no heating, saving massive energy and cutting cycle times to 20–40 seconds per core.
